Our Mission

Right 2 Defend Action Fund is an aligned non-profit organization that is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) social welfare organization. It's mission is to:

 

  1. Promote, encourage and protect the individual right to self-defense and the individual right to possess a firearm in Minnesota, educate citizens on matters of self-defense and safe gun ownership, and the wise and equitable use of public funds pertaining to the foregoing;

  2. Develop and advocate for the legislation, regulations, and government programs regarding firearm education, firearm safety, and firearm rights;

  3. Research and publicize positions of elected officials concerning the above; and

  4. To conduct any other business or activities that furthers these objectives.

Right 2 Defend is organized as a Minnesota non-profit organization and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) to provide education on firearms, firearm safety, the individual right to possess firearms, and the individual right to self-defense overall. Donations to Right 2 Defend are tax-deductible.

Right 2 Defend Action Fund is an aligned non-profit organization that is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. Donations to Right 2 Defend Action Fund are not tax-deductible.

Both organizations were recently created in 2023 by concerned citizens local to southeastern Minnesota to educate, promote and protect our Second Amendment rights: the individual right to self-defense and the individual right to possess a firearm.

Affiliates & Partners

We work with a good number of local businesses and groups in southeast Minnesota to better advocate for the Second Amendment with the interests of local responsible gun owners in mind.

We refuse to work with groups that dishonestly represent gun rights issues or lack credibility at a local, state, or national level.
